About Us

2008 – 2010  HOME IN SEATTLE

We’re back home in the lovely Northwest, in our sweet little apartment on Queen Anne.  Both working on building awesome businesses (Ken = Email Broadcast, Molly = Stratejoy) and making great memories with our friends and families.

In the past two years, we’ve continued to have adventures — traveling to Hawaii, Mexico, Bali, Santa Fe, Montana, San Diego, New York City, Las Vegas, Napa — celebrating weddings, scuba diving, skiing and visiting family.

2007 – 2008  THE WORLD TRIP

Where in the world are Molly and Ken? Like our old friend, Carmen San Diego, we are traversing the world in search of, well – not criminals, but adventure, understanding and the chance to do something extraordinary. We packed up our life in Seattle, sold most of our earthly belongings and hit the road. Or the international airport, to be exact.

At the start of this blog, we had survived 3 months in Central America, Ecuador & Peru. Already we’ve got a million stories under our belt– scuba diving in Honduras, climbing a live volcano in Guatemala, getting all our stuff ripped off in Costa Rica including our cameras, iPods & iBook, bikeriding over landslides in the rainy cloud forests of Ecuador, and immensely enjoying our 5 day trek in the Peruvian Andes that ended with watching the sunrise over Machu Picchu. We’ve made new friends from around the world, found new favorite foods (Hello Ceviche!), and developed newfound appreciation for throwing toilet paper in the actual toilet! You can check out our first month of adventure at We loved that site, but once our laptop got jacked, we couldn’t update it every again.

This blog contains the rest of our stories about backpacking around the world for 10 months…

2006 was a bit of an awaking for us.  We moved in together, Molly hit her “Quarterlife Crisis” and Ken was getting itchy for adventure. We weren’t ready to settle down, but we were still unsure of what was next.

The phrase, Live an Extraordinary Life, kept coming up… We we hammering it around for months, discussing our values and desires, and eventually coming to a few conclusions.  One: We wanted to do things our own way.  Two: We couldn’t let fear hold us back.  Three: Regret was not to be in our vocabulary. Life was meant to be lived, to be celebrated, to be enjoyed in the present moment to the best of our ability.

So, who are we exactly?  Well for you type A’s:  Here’s a few facts for you!

WOW! Molly. That is amazing. As I am sitting through the most painfully tedious and boring deposition EVER, I am so impressed that you had the maxi to get rid of everything and travel the world. I am so happy that I stumbled onto your site and I am so happy for you. When are you two coming back? What made you decide to travel? I think NIck and I are going to go to Greece for two months after he finishes his residency, but I’d so rather go on a Safari! Okay, I had better go pay attention! You rock. Love, Ang
